700 cadets and 200 staff were on parade on Saturday 21 May 2016, as the Wing marched through the City of Canterbury to the Cathedral, for a Service of Thanksgiving to mark the 75th Anniversary of the formation of the Air Training Corps.

This was the first time in 35 years that the Wing had paraded in public. Fortunately the rain stayed away while they marched, and the sun shone as the Service concluded.

The Kent Wing Singers, a choir made up of cadets; a CI, SNCO and Officer performed for the very first time. It was a beautiful performance, rightly applauded when they finished.

It was a momentous day, which was described by Officer Commanding Kent Wing, Wing Commander Russell Goodayle as ‘fantastic’, a thought echoed by our Guest of Honour, Air Vice-Marshal Malcolm Brecht and many of the other Guests.
