Today Cadets & Staff from all across London & Southeast Region come together to see in the 694th Lord Mayor of London. Alderman Nicholas Lyons of the Tower Ward.

The Lord Mayors Show is one of the longest established pageants in the world.

The Story of the Lord Mayors Show begins in 1215 when a desperate King John allowed the City of London to appoint its own Mayor. The King insisted that each newly elected Mayor should come to Westminster and swear loyalty to the Crown, and the Mayor of London has been making that journey for over 800 years and now the pageant is now bigger than ever and has become a London Institution. The modern procession is now over 3 miles long and fills the whole space between Bank & Aldwych from 11am until 2:30pm

In the London & Southeast Region Contingent, Cadets & Staff from the following Squadrons were either in flights or in the Regional Band:

99 (Folkestone), 129 (Tunbridge Wells), 305 (Ashford), 354 (Dover) 402 (Gravesend) 2235 (Deal), 2433 (Thanet).
