Cadets visit the Royal Engineers Museum in Brompton!

On the 26th March, the cadets from Ditton Squadron visited the Royal Engineers Museum in Brompton. On the day, the cadets found the trip very educational. Here is a report from Cadet M. Elbruda:

“This trip was very educational as the museum included many Victoria Crosses, Wellington’s map of Waterloo, weapons from the Zulu War, a collection of bridge laying tanks, Chinese silks, the world’s first guided torpedo, Indian battle axes, a part of the Berlin Wall, Zulu shields, a Harrier Jump Jet and a V2 rocket.

This trip was very successful and personally my favourite part was learning how different places around the world have helped the British in developing the engineering industry. It was also really good when we got to take part in interactive activities such as trying on different uniforms and watching videos on the history.”

Additionally, here are some quotes from cadets who attended:

”Really enjoyable and informative experience.10/10.Would do again”

Sergeant Taylor-Dean

“It was very educational and interesting”

Cadet Hurley

Hopefully this trip will be available next year also!
