On 27 April, the Squadron’s ex Cadet Warrant Officer (CWO) returned with his colleagues from Kent Police (Special Constables). This was in order to deliver some insight of what their job looks like and what day to day tasks it involves.

It was extremely informative and incredible to see their roles in the Police, which we would not have had any knowledge on before. We were also given the opportunity to examine the police cars and try on some uniforms, which undoubtedly was what the cadets enjoyed the most.

Another memorable part of the evening was when Plt Off Long took part in a breath test which helped to demonstrate how equipment is used to determine if a driver has been under the influence of any substances.

Here are some quotes from our cadets, who only had positive things to say about their experiences:

Corporal Hayne: “It was a pleasure to learn about the roles of the police in the force”.

Cadet Sikora: “It was brilliant and very inspiring”.

We hope our ex CWO has a bright future and we wish him all of the best!
