A very exciting paddle board weekend opportunity

On the 13th and 14th May, Corporal Genc had the opportunity to join cadets for 40F and 25 squadron in building upon his already gained knowledge for his British Canoeing Paddle Start Award recently achieved on the Adventure Training Easter Camp that took place at Windermere

This weekend he was able to progress to the next level and has now gained the Paddle Discover Award.

A huge congratulations to him for such a tremendous success! Here is what he said about the weekend:

“The first day was a great way to go over and improve in moving in the water and adopting techniques to improve myself. The second day taught important stuff such as how to rescue unconscious and conscious casualties from canoes, kayak and paddle boards. Furthermore me and the team learnt how to use throw bags and toe lines to save people in difficult situations. Over all the practice was wonderful and the team and staff were eager to get on the water to learn and teach one another.”
