Cadets complete their Practise Bronze DofE Expedition

From the 22-23 April the Squadron recommenced its first DofE expedition in many years with a successful experience of learning by all in attendance. They enjoyed their scenic route around Aylesford and their time spent in the nature.

Here’s what they have to say about their experience:

Cadet Rutt: “Even it was my first night away with cadets I really enjoyed it and I would recommend it.”

Cadet Barton: “Tiring but a great experience overall. We hopefully won’t make the same mistakes we made in the real thing.”

Cadet Bright: “The DofE practice in my opinion was a great experience to enlighten ourselves on what we can develop when we do our bronze. Everyone was engaged in the practice and learned a lot, especially with how we can pack our bags with proper weight distribution to give us better endurance and feel more comfortable also to put up our tents effectively.

This is also beneficial to other cadets doing their DofE to learn from our mistakes that’s what a practice is all about, overall | enjoyed it and would do it again.”

Cadet Milton: “It was a great experience and a lot of fun. It is great to spend time to work with your friends all weekend.”

Corporal Genc: “Incredible experience, lovely staff and a wonderful team to work with . Had a brilliant time getting to know the other members of the team and improve in navigation and mapping skills.”
