July 3rd – 5th 2015 saw the Kent Wing Shooting team compete in the Inter-Service Cadet Rifle Meeting at the National Shooting Centre, Bisley Surrey along with 400 cadets from all three services, with guest teams from Canada and Hong Kong.
A total of 34 ATC teams competed against the Army Cadets and Sea Cadets in extremely humid and oppressive weather conditions. The team followed a strict regime of progressive training which proved to their advantage in the hot conditions.
Their team work, tenacity and above all humour and comradeship awarded them with the Pre-Bisley Challenge Shield and 4 Gold Plaquettes for attaining the highest team score in the pre-selection stage.
Congratulations go to Sgt Alexander Hupja of 129 (Tunbridge Wells) Squadron for gaining his 1st Cadet One Hundred during the meeting in addition to winning the Kent Wing Canberra Trophy for shooting).
