Lord Lieutenant of Kent Awards 2022

Adult Volunteers and Cadets receive royal recognition

Lord Lieutenant of Kent, The Lady Colgrain has awarded Kent RAF Air Cadets, Staff & Cadets with top accolades at the Salomons Estate, Tunbridge Wells. She is the county’s official representative of His Majesty The King.

Lord-Lieutenant Meritorious Service Certificates are an important means of recognising valuable Reserve and Cadet Force service. 

Flight Lieutenant Robert Smith RAFAC, of 593 (Swanley) Squadron and Pilot Officer Bradley Sherwood RAFAC of 1404 (Chatham) Sqn were awarded ‘His Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of Kent meritorious Service award’.

Cadet Warrant officer Elie Summers of 99 (Folkestone) Squadron, Flight Sergeant Charlotte Mackie of 1404 (Chatham) Sqn and Cadet Flight Sergeant Joseph Moore of 2520 (Tonbridge) Squadron, were awarded the Lord Lieutenants cadets for 2022-2023, as well as cadets from other uniformed youth organisations in Kent. They will be accompanying Her Ladyship to events throughout the year.
