This past weekend, 8th – 10th October 2021, 60 cadets and 33 CFAVs mustered at Lydd training camp to take part in the first Sector 5 Multi-activity Camp. This was the first large scale event that has been held since the re-start of overnight activities post the lifting of covid-19 restrictions.

The camp was a round-robin of activities that allowed cadets to take part in Archery, DCCT Marksmanship training, Paddlesports, Mountain biking, STEM and an obstacle course experience. Not only that but all members of the cadet forces adult volunteers (CFAV) were able to experience and try out these experiences too, enabling them to see what other qualifications are on offer through the Royal Air Force Air Cadets.

“I’ve never tried so many activites in one weekend and it so good to be back doing what we haven’t been able to because of Covid”
